Rob - 10/21/00   No Mercy is tomorrow.  There's four big matches going down, Chris Jericho/Xpac, Triple H/Chris Benoit, Steve Austin/Rikishi, and Kurt Angle/The Rock Without any BS (Save that for the predictions), let's get going with the matches being released by wwfnomercy.com Dudleys Tag Team Elimination Table Invitational Dudley Boyz vs. Goodfather & Bull Buchanan vs. Tazz & Raven vs. Lo Down vs. Too Cool vs. Edge & Christian: The Dudley Boyz and their goofy antics are extremely over, while RTC gets pushed beyond any reasoning.  Tazz & Raven suck worse every time they get into a WWF ring.  Lo Down no matter what any other internet geek says, sucks.  D'Lo will NEVER amount to anything, he doesn't have the look, Chaz doesn't have *it* either, it is attitude, or panache to pull off gimmicks given to them or to make angles work.  In my view.  Next, we got Too Cool in this thing.  I like Too Cool, they're good wrestlers and they're moderately over (declining slowly though).  Edge & Christian??  I thought they can't get title shots unless the Hardyz aren't champions, and seeing as they are champs.  Why bother? So let' see...Let's go to a corny gimmick, let's go to......Sherlock Holmes!  Master of deduction!  I'm sure he can figure out who will win at No Mercy... Sherlock Holmes:  Edge & Christian due to the angle are immediately DQed from any educated guess in this...Hmmm, what say you...RTC are getting pushed so they might possibly pull this off - however, I find it ridiculous that they even are partaking in what they would call..."gratuitous violence"...So Take them out.  I am now faced with 3 choices....Raven & Tazz no matter how "extreme" they can be, just aren't ready for the push. Rob:  Raven should just branch off and feud with Benoit or Jericho.  Tazz should go back to ECW, or maybe WCW.  Raven does need to step it up a notch though.  Or he'll be out in Ohio with the Big Show. Sherlock Holmes:  Hmm, yes, quite right.  I find these days that Ohio Valley Wrestling does in fact mean that you are in the proverbial "dog house".  Moving on, quickly taking away Lo Down, for the reason you pointed out earlier. Rob:  They Suck, they can't get it done on the entertainment end. Sherlock Holmes:  Correct, and finally, we'll exclude Too Cool from the winners' circle, because they'd rather cut up a rug than send people through tables.  Thus it's elementary my dear Rob, This is simply a match to keep The Dudleys "hot" and somewhat in the distance in the tag title picture.  This is literally their match, The Dudleyz will easily take this one home. Tag Team Championship Hardy Boyz vs. Los Conquistadors The Los Conquistadors are masked men that most think are Edge & Christian (which they are, occasionally also being played by two jobbers.  One of which I believe is Christopher Daniels.  The Conquistadors won a battle royal to get this shot.  Holmes what do you make of this? Sherlock Holmes:  The Hardy Boyz have just started their reign, however this is just a wry ploy to renew interest in their long battle against the devious team of Edge & Christian.  And to keep interest going, they'll be giving the titles to the Los Conquistadors. Sherlock Says:  Los Conquistadors New Tag Champs! Rob:  Agrees! Steel Cage Match Chris Jericho vs. X-Pac Chris Jericho hates X-Pac, X-Pac hates Jericho.  They've been fighting for awhile.  Hell they fought quite a bit in WCW!  Mr.  Holmes will this feud ever end and who do you think will win? Sherlock Holmes:  No one is quite sure why this feud is still going...It perhaps might be the work of my evil nemesis Dr.  Moriarti.  It is plainly seen time and time again that X-pac is past his prime.  Frankly, Jericho deserves more.  Seeing this situation as it is, I give the win to Jericho.  X-Pac could be jobbed all the time and no one would care, the fans place their care in Jericho. Sherlock Says:  Chris Jericho Escapes the Cage! Rob:  Agrees! Intercontinental Championship Eddie Guerrero vs. Mr. Ass Eddie Guerrero dumped Chyna for some hoes, Mr.  Ass is trying to make a comeback.  Currently the fans are rabid for both men (more so for Eddie).  Chyna is in Mr.  Ass's corner and the IC title is on the line, the same belt Eddie "accidentally" won from Chyna. Sherlock Holmes:  Eddie Guerrero is quite the devil with his new tactics.  The patrons of wrestling are eating it up, the same going for his opponent the returning Mr.  Ass.  Mr.  Ass's singles push never results in much and I only see bright things for our scallywag Eddie.  However, Eddie was injured and it is not a certainty that he'll wrestle.  I predict that Eddie will somehow get out of this match. Sherlock Says:  Eddie Strikes Again with his rapscallion ways! Rob:  Agrees! Triple H vs. Chris Benoit This all started when Chris Benoit head butted Stephanie McMahon, Triple H's wife.  So now they're going to fight, because in reality the person who wins this is going to be the next in line for a world title shot.  They might as well should have placed a number one contenders title to it. Sherlock Holmes:  This will be a brutal bout, between two combatants that are teeming with intensity.  Triple H has gotten the fan's respect from battling many a' foe, giving him the vicious edge that he was in dire need of.  Chris Benoit was implanted with it, it's second nature.  The Rabid Wolverine's first nature is to, Cripple.  Both men could greatly get the win, but with Kurt Angle in the title picture.  Triple H gets the win.  He's gradually rising back to the top. Rob:  What the hell, Holmes, I thought you were my boy!  Crippler takes Triple H and breaks him into, GAME OVER. Sherlock Says:  Triple H Rob:  Chris Benoit World Wrestling Federation Championship The Rock vs. Kurt Angle Kurt Angle got the number one contenders spot, he rules, The Rock sucks.  I hate him to know end.  Well, I don't *hate* him, I hate that he's been champion and there are others who should have their cup of coffee also.  The Rock almost HAS to be a champion or it just doesn't seem like The Rock, if he isn't wearing gold around his waist.  With all the possible interference this class could go either way. Sherlock Holmes:  This is quite simple actually.  The major storyline you would want to play is that Kurt Angle in less than one year he has captured the World Title.  The Rock has held the crown for quite some time, and I deduce that Triple H vs Kurt Angle at Survivor Series for the world title is what they're working for. Sherlock Says:  Kurt Angle Taking Home the World Title! Rob:  Agrees! No Holds Barred Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Rikishi Rikishi hit Austin, Austin is pissed.  Austin is going to kick Rikishi's ass.  Rikishi is not going to take anything from Austin and is going to slap him down like the dog that he is.  Say they both. Sherlock Holmes:  They should have gone with Shawn Michaels as the culprit.  I refuse to use my skills to assess this case, it is ridiculous. Rob:  I whole-heartedly agree Sherlock.  Expect just a big Austin ass-whooping. Sherlock Says:  Who Cares Rob:  Austin Stuns Rikishi a lot, and beats him up a lot.  Woo.....
